Windows: A symbol that would automatically input numbers in consecutive order

when I'm putting in my assignments for school, it takes a really long time to input assignment numbers (e.g. Assignment 1, Assignment 2, assignment 3 etc...). It would be helpful for a series where I can write something like Assignment #number and it will automatically repeat as Assignment 1, assignment 2 etc.
